Dugi’s Ultimate Wow Leveling Guide Review

The Ultimate WoW Guide or sometimes referred to as Dugi’s Guide is probably the largest leveling guide that available today.  Dugi’s guides include leveling guides, dungeon guides, dailies, and events guides, talent guides, gold guides, plus a great blog and almanacs to help you with all aspects of World of Warcraft leveling.  

Only get what you need

The Ulimate WoW guide is broken down is separate guides for each Horde or Alliance. If you only play Horde then you only need to get the Horde Guide. You can also get the separate Dailies and Events guides which is really great for knocking out extra justic points for the dailies and completing those seasonal quests and achievements.

Dugi is fantastic about providing a ton of free stuff too. Multiple additional guides are thrown in as bonuses plus at least ever week Dugi himself releases a new ebook or video footage to help you in your gaming fun.

Dugi’s Warcraft Leveling Guide Installation

Dugi’s guide was very easy to install, coming with it’s own free installer easily allows you to install one or all of the guides.

Using Dugi’s leveling guide, the quests all seemed very quick and fun.  It never took me on a quest that I couldn’t solo while still maximizing the amount of XP and rewards.  I think I have to say that the type of quests that Dugi’s guide gave me while leveling allowed me to get the most XP while having the most fun.  It never really felt like a grind.

The in-game guide UI in very small, not taking up too much screen real estate. For navigation Dugi’s utilizes either the Tom-Tom mod or you can use the Carbonite mod.

The biggest complaint I have is that Dugi’s guide didn’t automatically find the proper quest based on the level of my ‘toon or was able to figure out what quests I had already completed.  But even with that said, character levels are split out into groups of 10 so finding the right quest train was real easy. And besides, most automatic methods I’ve seen in other guides didn’t work very well anyway.  So overall this is really a minor gripe.

Dugi’s was one of the only guides that allowed me to level to 80 and do all of the dungeons at the same time which was REALLY nice!  And Dugi’s would show which quests were needed for each dungeon to ensure you are prepared to gain the maximum loot from each instance!  This was such a time save. I can’t tell you how many times I go into a dungeon, especially now with Dungeon Finder and don’t have the quest I need for instance.   Though Blizzard said they are fixing this in Cataclysm – Dugi’s comes complete with maps to each dungeon instance.

Finally, Dugi’s Guide comes with a free trial so that you can level a new character to level 12 and get a feel for this guide.

Dugi’s also has tons of other info for leveling, dungeon guides, events, dailies and tips in game that really round out this guide to be, in my opinion, the best warcraft leveling guide available.

The Zygor Warcraft Leveling Guide is really simply one of  the best guides available.   A great looking interface for the in-game guide makes sure your view isn’t cluttered up. One thing I would like to see is to have the option to take up less screen space. Though the in-game guide is a very attraction mod for your in game guide.

Zygor’s Warcraft Leveling Guide is a Complete Guide

All classes are fully covered with in game,  with way point arrows directing you to exactly where you need to go.  It’s nice to not have to load up Tom-tom or some other navigation mod.  Zygor has its own navigation built-in!

The guide does a pretty good job of looking at your current  level, what quests you have already completed, and automatically jump right to the next quest you need to complete.  I do have to say it isn’t always perfect but it gets pretty darn close.

Another feature not available in other guides is the Zygors In-Game Talent Advisor. While in-game, the guide detects when you level and guide you to how you should spend your talents points so you can get THE most out of the class you have choosen. With a built in learn button your points are assigned exactly where they need for most effectiveness for you. (editors note: this feature has been added to many of the other warcraft leveling guides and is no longer unique to Zygor)

The one place where Zygor Guides are lacking is with support for dungeons.  Hopefully sometime in the future they will be adding some cool dungeon guides.

Over all the content in Zygor Guides is fantastic with lots of extra leveling guides included.  For leveling quickly this is seemingly the fastest and most accurate!

Nyhm’s Guides help more then just with leveling.  Four guides in all, Nyhm shows you not only how to level your character in short order, but also adds in separate guides for making Gold quickly, leveling your profession, and how to gain total pwnage in PVP!

Nyhms Leveling Guide

This 230 page guide shows you step-by-step how to get from level 1 through 80 in less than 7 days! This guide alone is worth the price. But not only do you get a 1-80 leveling guide for the horde but you are also shown how to level your Alliance characters too!

Nyhm’s World of Warcraft Gold Making Guide

120 pages in this guide shows in the same amount of time that you can level to 80 how to make 10,000G!!!

Nyhm’s World of Warcraft Profession Guide

I don’t think a guide like this one exists anywhere. This 125 page step by step guide takes you by the hand and level your profession from 1 to 450 in all professions.

Nyhm’s World of Warcraft PVP Guide

THe guide is great for all you PVP’ers out there. Included are some great time saving macro’s and a couple of good list of the most important items needed for the best success in PVP.

One thing that is lacking in this guides that seems to be in other guides are in-games mods helpful in guiding you along the way. But this aside, the information contained is well worth the price.

Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide is most certainly one of, if not the original, leveling guide that was first released.  This one and still is a great guide for leveling your Character as fast as you possibly can.

Originally starting out as a level 1-60 guide with over 35 hours of videos to compliment the text, this guide still provides fantastic tips for any level player.

The guide was later updated to a level 1-70 guide which included everything you needed for leveling in the Outlands too. Joana continues to provide the a great resource insight to WoW leveling.

The Joana’s Leveling Guides are probably the most economically priced of all Horde Leveling Guides which will please most WoW fans.  You can buy just the 1-70 Levelling Guide that includes leveling 1-60 in Azeroth AND 60-70 in Outland for only$45.

Then, when you’re ready, you can pick up the 70-80 Wrath of the Litch King leveling guide which shows you not only WotLK but also include a bonus Death Knight guide for $47.  Get them all together for $77 and save $15 bucks!

There are more to these guides then just leveling too!  You get a totally legal in-game level mod which provides arrows to show you right where to go next to level as fast as possible.  This mod isn’t too big either to block your view like some other mods.
